Workplace Drug & Alcohol Screening

Fast, professional workplace testing to help you manage risk, protect safety-critical operations, and support staff appropriately.

Occupational Health

CQC-registered clinic • Confidential, clinically-led service • London-based with on-site delivery options

Having a top Chief Medical Officer guiding your company’s health and safety efforts fosters a culture of well-being, enhances employee satisfaction, and contributes to the organisation’s overall success. Our CEO, Dr. Charles Easmon, leads the clinic with a passion for medical excellence and personalised patient care.

Dr Charlie or Dr. Ade can be appointed as your personal company medical officer to help reduce rates of absenteeism. They will be able to give advice on when a referral to occupational health is required and ways to monitor, prevent and manage sickness absence. In many cases this will assist the employee in a faster and safer return to work by recommending adjustments or modifying duties. YEHS offers face-to-face, telephone or video consultations when making an assessment.

Why it matters

Misuse of drugs and alcohol in the workplace can compromise safety, productivity, and reputation. YEHS helps employers reduce risk with a clear, practical screening service—delivered professionally, with minimal disruption, and aligned to your workplace policy and duty of care.
Under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971, it is an offence for an employer to knowingly permit the use of controlled substances on their premises—so having a robust policy and a reliable testing pathway matters.

What we offer

Workplace drug & alcohol testing options
We provide workplace screening to support a range of operational needs, including:
  • Pre-placement / pre-employment testing
  • Random testing programmes
  • For-cause / reasonable suspicion testing
  • Post-incident / post-accident testing
  • Follow-up testing (as part of an agreed management plan)
Testing methods (as appropriate):
  • Urine testing
  • Oral fluid (mouth swab) testing
  • Breath alcohol testing (using calibrated breathalysers)
Drug panels: 6-panel and 10-panel testing available (based on your policy and role risk).

Designed for speed, accuracy & minimal disruption

Our approach is built around operational reality: you need timely testing, clear documentation, and a process that’s fair to employees.
  • On-site delivery where required
  • Clear chain-of-custody process to support reliable, defensible results
  • Confidential handling and appropriate clinical governance
  • Practical employer guidance on next steps (in line with your policy)

Policy-first, people-safe

Testing works best when it sits inside a well-written Drug & Alcohol Policy and a consistent management process. If you already have a policy, we’ll align the testing approach to it. If you’re updating your approach, we can help you clarify:
  • When testing applies (random, for-cause, post-incident, etc.)
  • What “under the influence” means in your organisation (many employers adopt a zero-tolerance approach to avoid ambiguity)
  • How non-negative/positive results are managed
  • Confidentiality, employee support pathways, and fair process

Who this is for

YEHS screening is commonly used by organisations with safety-critical or regulated roles, including:
  • Transport & logistics
  • Construction & engineering
  • Energy sector / safety-critical work
  • Corporate teams with defined risk policies
  • Any employer implementing a formal health & safety framework

What to expect (simple process)

  1. Quick scoping call (roles, risks, policy, and testing type)
  2. Schedule testing (on-site or agreed location)
  3. Testing delivered with documented process
  4. Results & next-step guidance aligned to your internal policy
